Why Is Ethics Training Important?

The International Code of Ethics, or Ethics Pronouncements, are fundamental principles of ethics for professional accountants and accounting firms around the world.

It consists of EP 100: International Code of Ethics for Professional Accountants (Including International Independence Standards) and EP 200: International Standards on Combating Money Laundering and the Financing of Terrorism & Proliferation.

Compliance with the Code is mandatory, and failure to observe the Code will result in disciplinary action. Hence, Auditors and Accountants are expected and required to be competently trained in the Code.
